Galatasaray secured the 2025–26 Turkish Süper Lig title after defeating Antalyaspor 4-2 at RAMS Park in Istanbul, officially becoming Turkish league champions for a record 26th time.
The victory, achieved on Saturday night, also marked Galatasaray’s fourth consecutive league title, continuing the club’s dominance in Turkish football. Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen played a major role in the match by scoring two important goals that helped secure the championship for the Istanbul side.
Following the final whistle, massive celebrations erupted not only across Turkey but also in North Cyprus, including the town of Lefke, where Galatasaray supporters gathered in the streets to celebrate the historic achievement.
Fans in Lefke were seen waving Galatasaray flags, driving through the streets while honking car horns, chanting club songs, and celebrating late into the night alongside friends and family members. Many supporters also shared photos and videos of the celebrations on social media as the atmosphere across the town became filled with excitement and fireworks.
The championship further strengthens Galatasaray’s position as the most successful club in Turkish football history and guarantees the team direct qualification for next season’s UEFA Champions League.
The title victory also continues the successful era under head coach Okan Buruk, who has now guided the club to multiple consecutive league triumphs, increasing supporters’ hopes for strong performances in European competitions next season.
